Hello all! This site will be to update all of you on the status of Matt's work overseas. Matt has taken a position with the contract company Triple Canopy. This contract is being funded by the Dept of Defense. He will be working in Taji Iraq, as an instructor to Iraqi military in Recon and surveillance.

He began his year contract on July 10th 2005. He first went to Texas where he spent 5 days at an inprocessing base. He then traveled to Kuwait, where he did more inprocessing and waited to take a plane to Iraq. Currently he in the International Zone, formerly called the Green Zone. At the embassy there, he just completed yet more inprocessing and is ready to go to Taji to begin working. When this will happen is unsure at this time. Additional safety precautions must be made in Taji before Triple Canopy will send this team of 8 instructors. So right now Matt is waiting, spending his nights in an air-conditioned tent with about 30 other individuals.
